A driver was transported to a hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a single-vehicle collision on the Kootwijkerweg in Uddel, Netherlands. The incident occurred around 1:00 PM between Garderen/Uddel and the A1 highway on-ramp, according to reports.
The driver was traveling towards the A1 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a lamppost, followed by a tree, local news sources reported. Emergency services, including an ambulance, police, and the Uddel fire department, responded to the scene to provide assistance.
Firefighters from Uddel removed the damaged lamppost to prevent further hazards, temporarily reducing traffic to one lane. This caused delays for other motorists. A recovery company later removed the vehicle from the road, restoring normal traffic flow.
The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time. The driver’s condition has not been released, but was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Authorities have not provided further details regarding the incident.
