Long-Awaited Victory for Cañuelas
After more than three months without a win in the Second Division, Cañuelas finally celebrated a triumph on Saturday at Santa Cruz and Pellegrini. The team overcame San Miguel wiht a final score of 23-14, marking their first victory after ten consecutive losses.
the team demonstrated strength across all positions, breaking a spell that had lingered since their last win on June 14th against La Salle, 15-13. This win keeps Cañuelas firmly in contention to avoid the last position in the league and the subsequent “promotion” playoff against a team from the Third Division - a position they currently hold as the antepenultimate team.
