Canadian Paralympic Committee Highlights Successful Year in New Annual Report
TORONTO, ON – The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) and Paralympic Foundation of Canada (PFC) are celebrating a year of meaningful achievements, detailed in their newly released 2024-25 Annual Report. The report showcases a period marked by the success of the Canadian Paralympic team at the Paris 2024 Games, alongside ongoing advancement initiatives aimed at growing the Paralympic Movement in Canada.
The Canadian team secured 29 medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, a central focus of the year.Beyond the podium success, the Games saw outstanding broadcast and media engagement, a vibrant Canada Paralympic house, and extensive on-site programming.
Though, the report emphasizes that the year’s accomplishments extended far beyond Paris. Preparations are already underway for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games,and the CPC continued to prioritize athlete leadership development. New initiatives included the launch of a newsletter for fans and continued support for grassroots organizations through the Paralympic Sport Development Fund.
