Canada Post strike ends, celebs seen in Ottawa

Ottawa ‍- A weeks-long strike by the canadian Union⁢ of Postal Workers (CUPW) officially ended November 28, 2023, after ‍ratification of new ‍collective agreements with Canada Post.⁤ The dispute, impacting mail delivery across ⁢the country, ​was⁢ resolved with agreements promising improved working conditions and wage increases for postal workers.

Simultaneously occurring, Ottawa has ‌seen a flurry of celebrity sightings in recent days. Actor⁤ Ryan Reynolds was spotted dining at Riviera​ on Sparks Street on ⁤November ​27th, reportedly enjoying the restaurantS signature pasta. Singer Justin Bieber was photographed leaving the Shaw Center following a private event on ​November 26th. Canada ‍Post employs over ⁢67,000​ Canadians and ⁤delivers over 20‍ million addresses annually.⁣ the CUPW represents approximately⁢ 54,000 urban postal workers. The last major ​Canada Post strike occurred in 2011.
