Borgo san Lorenzo,Italy – Teh Camerata de’ Bardi School of Music Orchestra will launch the 8th edition of the Literary Ingorgo festival with a performance titled “Surprises in Music” on November 15,2025. The concert, scheduled for 10:00 am in the council chamber of the Municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo’s Piazza Dante, promises a diverse program connecting musical themes too the broader party of books and authors.
The event offers a unique cultural experience for attendees of the Literary Ingorgo, blending classical repertoire with recognizable film scores. The Camerata de’ Bardi’s performance will feature works by composers including George Friedrich Händel, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Edward Elgar, alongside selections from John Williams’ score for Jurassic Park. The program’s title reflects the element of surprise found within the music itself-from the delicate “Surprise’s Vision” to the triumphant “Conquering Hero” from Handel’s Judas Maccabeus and the unifying message of Beethoven’s ”Ode to Joy.”
The orchestra will perform charpentier’s Prelude from te Deum-instantly recognizable as the opening and closing theme for Eurovision broadcasts-and Elgar’s majestic Pomp and Circumstance, also known as Land of Hope and Glory. The selection of pieces aims to showcase the power of music to evoke emotion and connect audiences across cultures and generations.
