Black Ops 7 campaign Frustrates Players With strict Solo Limitations
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched today to a wave of players eager to experience the latest installment in the popular franchise, but many are finding the solo campaign experience surprisingly restrictive. players report the campaign cannot be paused, even during single-player sessions.
Further compounding the issue, the campaign lacks traditional checkpoints. Players are forced to restart entire missions from the beginning if they exit the game for any reason. A persistent online connection is also required to play, meaning progress can be lost due to unexpected disconnections – including those caused by daily game updates.
Despite being designed around a squad-based experience requiring players to utilize the game’s matchmaking adn lobby systems even when playing alone, the limitations of the solo campaign have come as a surprise to many.
Eurogamer’s full review of call of Duty: Black Ops 7, including its campaign, is forthcoming. In the meantime, players can find Eurogamer’s Black ops 7 guns tier list and a breakdown of how the endgame PvE mode works. You can also watch Ian’s stream of the game for Eurogamer here: Watch on YouTube.
