Busan Startups Showcase Innovation, Attract Over ₩3.2 Billion in Funding at B.Deep-Tech Program Demo Day
Busan, South Korea – The Busan center for creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Yongwoo Kim) yesterday highlighted the success of its “2025 B.Deep-Tech Accelerating Program” at a performance sharing meeting and IR Day held at the Haeundae Central Hotel. The program, designed to cultivate new industry startups in the Busan region, has demonstrably boosted the local startup ecosystem, attracting a combined ₩1.1 billion in investment and securing ₩2.1 billion in funding for participating companies.
Launched in July, the program – a collaboration between the Busan regional SMEs and Startups Agency, Pusan National University, Dong-A University, and operated by Bsquare Co., Ltd. – provided customized acceleration training, intensive camps, investment attraction support, and investor relations consulting to 15 selected startups.
The event showcased tangible results, with four teams completing business registration during the five-month incubation period, paving the way for full-scale business operations. Approximately 40 attendees, including representatives from startups, investment firms, operating companies, and the hosting organizations, participated in presentations, IR pitching sessions, and networking opportunities.
Eum Bio co., Ltd. took home the grand prize, receiving the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award. Naepyeon company co., Ltd., Workation Co., Ltd., and The Green Generation Co., ltd. were also recognized with grand prizes.
“This program is significant in that it has made visible the growth of startups in new industries,” stated event organizers. “We plan to continue to support startups in the ultra-gap and deep tech sectors to strengthen their global competitiveness.”
