Burning lorry at petrol station along the A59

A lorry caught fire under the awning of a petrol station on the A59 on Wednesday morning. This happened in Den Hout. No one was injured, but the damage is extensive.

Firefighters quickly put out the fire. A rescuer took the truck. The highway was briefly closed in both directions Wednesday morning. It is now open again.

Insulating material
The fire broke out around eight in a lorry, while under the hood of a BP petrol station. Little is left of the white truck and the gas station itself is also badly damaged.

The truck was loaded with insulating material, such as Styrofoam plates.
