Bryan Mbeumo & Man United: Premier League’s Only Undefeated Team in 2026?

by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

Manchester United remain the only team in England’s Premier League without a loss in 2026, a streak extended following a 3-1 victory over Fulham on Monday, February 23rd. The club’s continued success is increasingly linked to the performance of forward Bryan Mbeumo, who joined the team in July 2025.

Mbeumo, 26, scored one goal and provided an assist in the win against Fulham, bringing his Premier League total for Manchester United to nine goals in 22 appearances this season, according to data available as of February 24, 2026. Prior to joining Manchester United, Mbeumo spent six seasons with Brentford, making 242 appearances and scoring 65 goals. He was instrumental in Brentford’s promotion to the Premier League in 2021.

Born in Avallon, France, Mbeumo initially represented France at the under-17, under-20, and under-21 levels. However, he switched his international allegiance to Cameroon in 2022, and has since earned 32 caps, scoring seven goals for the national team. He participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Cameroon, appearing in three matches.

Mbeumo primarily plays as an attacking midfielder or forward, and is known as a left-footed player who favors playing on the right wing. He is currently under contract with Manchester United until June 30, 2030, with an option for a further year. His agent is ESN.

Despite his French upbringing and early international representation, Mbeumo’s decision to play for Cameroon has been a significant factor in his career trajectory. He continues to be a key player for both club and country, contributing significantly to Manchester United’s undefeated run in the Premier League.
