Gallagher Brother Cancels DJ Set Amid Serious Charges

Oasis After-Party Gig Scrapped Before Court Appearance

Paul Gallagher, elder brother to music icons Liam and Noel Gallagher, has withdrawn from an upcoming Oasis after-party DJ set in Dublin. The cancellation comes as he faces multiple serious charges, including rape and sexual assault.

Serious Allegations Emerge

Gallagher, 59, was scheduled to spin tunes at The Grand Social venue this weekend, coinciding with his brothers’ highly anticipated Oasis reunion tour dates in the city. However, the event will now proceed without him.

Police confirmed in July that **Paul Gallagher**, who resides in north London, had been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three instances of intentional strangulation, two threats to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. These alleged offences reportedly occurred between 2022 and 2024.

He is slated to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 27th.

Venue Confirms Change

A representative for The Grand Social venue stated, “Paul Gallagher will no longer be DJing at our Oasis after-party.” The venue has arranged for **Mani** from The Stone Roses to perform on Saturday evening and **Alan McGee** to DJ on Sunday. Promoters Up Close and Personal Promotions have been approached for comment.

Oasis Tour Continues

The news comes as **Liam** and **Noel Gallagher** continue their reunion tour, performing together for the first time since Oasis disbanded in 2009. The Oasis Live ’25 tour has already played dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, and Edinburgh.

The band is set to play two sold-out shows at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16th and 17th. Live music events, particularly those involving high-profile reunion tours, often see a surge in associated fan gatherings and parties. For instance, the recent Taylor Swift Eras Tour added billions to local economies where it stopped, demonstrating the significant economic ripple effect of major music events.
