The upcoming second part of Bridgerton’s fourth season will feature orchestral covers of contemporary artists Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, and Camila Cabello, Netflix announced this week.
The period drama, created by Chris Van Dusen, returns to the streaming service with a focus on the second Bridgerton son, Benedict, portrayed by Luke Thompson. The season’s synopsis details Benedict’s reluctance to settle down until a chance encounter with a mysterious Lady in Silver at a masquerade ball.
Bridgerton is known for its distinctive musical arrangements, reimagining modern songs as orchestral pieces. Part one of the current season included orchestral versions of Coldplay’s ‘Life In Technicolor,’ Taylor Swift’s ‘Enchanted,’ and Paramore’s ‘All I Wanted.’ The new covers will include Charli XCX’s ‘360’, Billie Eilish’s ‘Birds Of A Feather’ and ‘Never Be The Same’ by Camila Cabello, as revealed in a post on the show’s official X account on February 24, 2026.
The announcement of the musical additions comes after Netflix confirmed the renewal of Bridgerton for a fifth and sixth season last summer, responding to significant fan demand following the conclusion of season three in 2024. In a message to fans, Netflix stated, “Rarely is this author granted the opportunity to share with you such information. We see with great pleasure I can announce Bridgerton shall return for Seasons 5 and 6. Do celebrate accordingly.”
Chris Van Dusen, the creator of Bridgerton who also served as executive producer and showrunner for the first two seasons, has recently signed an overall deal with Netflix, according to reports from Deadline and IMDb. He is also boarding another high-profile project for the streamer, ‘Calabasas.’
Season three of the show received a mixed reception, with Nick Levine of NME awarding it three stars. Levine noted the show’s reliance on familiar tropes, but praised its visual appeal and the performance of Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, describing her facial expressions as “meme-able.”
