Boise State Women’s Tennis: Fall Qualifiers & ITA Tournament Preview

Broncos to Compete​ at Mountain West Fall‌ Qualifiers

LAS VEGAS – The‍ Boise State women’s ‌tennis team will send four athletes to Las Vegas, Nevada, October 2-5,‍ to compete in the Mountain West Fall Qualifiers. Masa Viriant, Allison Isaacs, Tereza Polakova, and Paula Schaefer will represent the​ Broncos in both singles and doubles play.

This tournament offers a crucial opportunity for Boise State to build on its‍ recent success and qualify for national competition. Champions in both the singles and doubles brackets will‌ earn automatic bids to the ITA Conference Masters Championships, November 6-9 in San Diego, California.Boise State is ⁣looking‌ to repeat its success from the​ inaugural 2024 tournament, where they swept both singles and ⁢doubles titles.

The Broncos will field two doubles teams: Viriant/Isaacs and​ polakova/Schaefer. ⁤Both duos went undefeated in doubles action during the 2025 ⁢fall opener. The ⁤tournament⁣ will feature a single-elimination format wiht ⁤a 32-player​ singles bracket and‍ a 16-team doubles bracket,⁤ comprised of individual student-athletes ‌from each Mountain West program.

Head coach Beck Roghaar, ‍entering his 16th season, was recently named⁢ Mountain West‍ and ITA Mountain Region Coach of the Year for the 2024-25⁢ season.several key players return with ⁢accolades,including Zdena Safarova,an All-Mountain West honoree in ⁣both singles and doubles,and the Mountain West Tournament MVP. Paula Schaefer and Masa Viriant also earned All-Tournament recognition.
