Kai Cenat to be Honored Alongside John Legend at BMAC Gala
Content creator Kai Cenat will be recognized for his platform’s impact alongside John Legend, Sherrese Clarke, Irving Azoff, and Apple/Apple Music at teh fifth annual Black Music & Entertainment Council (BMAC) Gala on September 18 at The Beverly Hilton in los Angeles. The event will celebrate artists,executives,activists,and brands championing equity and inspiring change,hosted by country music artist mickey Guyton and cultural curator Kenny Burns.
The BMAC Gala arrives as Black creatives continue to reshape entertainment and culture. This year’s honorees represent a diverse range of influence, from Cenat’s digital reach to Legend’s enduring musical legacy and the industry power of Primary Wave Music and Apple.
Brunson Celebrates ‘Abbott Elementary’ Emmy Noms
Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson received support at a celebratory event hosted by Bustle following the show’s 2025 Emmy nominations. William Stanford Davis, known for his role as the school custodian in the series, joined Brunson at the event. Abbott Elementary‘s fifth season is set to premiere on ABC on October 1.
Original ‘Hamilton’ Cast reunites for Film Premiere
The original Broadway cast of Hamilton, including Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Leslie Odom Jr.,Okieriete Onaodowa,and daveed Diggs,reunited with composer/lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda for the premiere of the filmed version of the musical at the Delacorte Theater in New York City. The film, shot in 2016, began its theatrical release on September 5.
‘Game’ Receives Hollywood Support at LA Screening
The Los Angeles premiere of the film Game, starring Robert Ri’chard, drew a crowd of Black Hollywood talent. The film, written and executive produced by Rory “RG” Graham and directed by Dale A. Stelly, also features Denise Garcia, Celeste Seda, Marcus paulk, and Lindsay Diann.
