Brighton,England – The Black ⁢Ferns​ are sharpening their focus on clinical execution as they prepare‌ to face Ireland at the Rugby World Cup,with coaching⁤ staff and players alike highlighting the need to capitalize on opportunities. The team⁢ is coming off recent‌ games where improvements in ball ​retention and mindset are key areas of growth, according to head⁣ coach Allan Bunting.

Captain Kennedy Simon noted the importance‍ of the team’s internal support system and the increasing presence of whānau at matches, with jersey presentation events ⁣growing in attendance each​ week.

The Black Ferns⁤ have been utilizing the facilities ‍at⁢ Brighton College, including the gym ⁤and training fields, for preparation. ⁣Players have expressed ⁤gratitude for the investment in the women’s game evident in the quality of training ‍and recovery⁤ resources available. Lock Maiakawanakaulani ⁣Roos described the stadium in Brighton and Hove as “amazing,” acknowledging the significant ‍effort and resources dedicated to ‍the tournament.

Local students from Brighton College have been observing the‌ world champions’ training sessions, drawing inspiration from their‍ dedication.⁤ “It’s‌ amazing,just like seeing them outside your classroom as well,just ​always kind of training,they’re such strong women,” said student⁣ Lauren Wills. Students preparing for their own rugby season are also taking note of the ⁣Black Ferns’ techniques. “These line outs‍ going on⁤ right ‌now, they’re so fast, the accuracy and then just like the sink is incredible,” ‍commented Ethan Swanepoel, while teammate Ted Warner highlighted the ⁤speed ‌of play among the Black Ferns’ ‌backs as “unreal.”
