FAIRFAX, VA – George Mason women’s tennis begins its 2025 campaign at the moore Invitational, hosted by the University of North Carolina, September 5-7 in Chapel Hill. The invitational marks the start of a new season for the Patriots,following a 2024 fall schedule that saw promising advancement across the roster.
The Moore Invitational provides an early-season test for a George Mason team returning key players and welcoming new talent. Head Coach Julie Townsend will look to build upon the foundation established last year as the Patriots navigate a challenging schedule. Returning to the team are seniors Lauren Sasse, olivia Lacy, Lakshya Motam, Brooklyn Siegel, Noelle Talarek, and Mary Young. Sophomores Maya Bayat and shivaani Ganesh also return, poised to take on larger roles in their second year.
George Mason will continue its fall schedule following the Moore Invitational, preparing for the Bedford Cup, hosted by the University of Maryland, September 19-21 in College Park.
