The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum in Milwaukee will relocate from its current location, with plans for a grand opening in June, according to a recent Instagram post. The move marks a significant step forward for the museum after a period of closure and operational adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The museum first reopened in April 2021 after being closed for over a year, according to reporting from OnMilwaukee.com. Following the reopening, the museum adjusted its hours and operational procedures. In January 2022, the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum expanded its schedule to include Thursdays, operating from 9:30 a.m. To 4:30 p.m. Thursday through Monday, and discontinued morning and afternoon play sessions in favor of continuous business hours, as reported by TMJ4. Museum CEO Brian King stated at the time that the addition of Mondays was “one step closer” to returning to pre-pandemic schedules and aimed to provide families with more flexibility in planning visits. Current hours of operation are Wednesday through Monday, 9 a.m. To 4:30 p.m., with the museum closed on Tuesdays, as detailed on the museum’s website. The Instagram post announcing the move does not specify the fresh location. The museum’s website currently lists the address as 929 E. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53202. Further details regarding the new location and the grand opening in June have not been publicly released.
