Berlin claims Record-Breaking €120 Million Eurojackpot
Berlin,Germany – A lucky lottery player in Berlin has won the maximum €120 million Eurojackpot, setting a new lottery record for Germany,Westlotto announced Tuesday evening following the draw in Helsinki,Finland. The winning numbers where 7, 8, 31, 32, 33, with Euro numbers 10 adn 11.
This marks the first time the top prize has been claimed after twelve consecutive draws without a winner. While the €120 million jackpot has been hit several times across Europe, Berlin is the first German city to claim the maximum prize twice.
The Eurojackpot reached its current maximum payout in July 2022, with the winning ticket sold in Denmark. Since then, the jackpot has been claimed in November 2022 (Berlin), June 2023 (schleswig-Holstein), January 2024 (Norway), June 2024 (Denmark), and May 2025 (Baden-Württemberg).
Jackpot wins are sometimes shared. In April of this year, winners in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and Slovenia split a €60 million prize. A similar split occurred in December 2024 between players in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. The jackpot had remained unclaimed since August.
The EurojackpotS substantial prize pool grows when no player correctly matches all five main numbers (from a pool of 50) and two Euro numbers (from a pool of 12). Once the jackpot reaches the €120 million cap,any further funds accumulate in the second prize tier, increasing potential winnings for those matching fewer numbers.
Westlotto, based in Münster, germany, coordinates the Eurojackpot lottery, with the official draw taking place in Helsinki.
The odds of winning the Eurojackpot are approximately 1 in 140 million.
