The investigation centers on suspected left-wing extremist perpetrators, according to authorities.
The September 14th attack left approximately 50,000 customers of state-owned Stromnetz GmbH without power for up to 60 hours. Berlin’s Interior Senator Iris Spranger (SPD) stated following the incident that a letter of confession published online was considered authentic by investigators. The ongoing police operation suggests a potential breakthrough in identifying adn apprehending those responsible for the disruption and intentional damage to critical infrastructure.
