Rovigo to Celebrate Life of Activist Beppe D’Alba with Travelogue Remembrance
ROVIGO, Italy – A special event will be held in Rovigo on Saturday, December 6th, to honor the memory of Beppe D’alba, a longtime community activist and advocate for social justice, who passed away on August 28th. The event, organized by Arci Rovigo and the Arci cultural club 2 june 1946 in collaboration with his family, will feature a presentation by Giovanni Nalin, a close friend and travel companion of the late D’Alba.
For thirty years, D’Alba dedicated himself to political and social causes in the Polesine area, notably during the olive season and the accomplished campaign of Massimo donadi. Beyond his political work with organizations like Arci, D’Alba was a passionate champion of environmental protection, legality, and opposition to organized crime and neo-fascist movements. He is remembered by those who knew him as a cheerful, generous individual with a deep love for his region, which he documented extensively through photography.
The remembrance,titled “With my soul moving,” will showcase videos and photographs captured during D’Alba and NalinS travels together,sharing stories and anecdotes from their adventures. The event aims to offer a more intimate portrait of D’Alba, revealing experiences and emotions known only to those closest to him.
The event will begin at 5:30 pm at the G. Cavazzini room in Piazza Tien An Men 1, Rovigo. D’alba’s family will be in attendance,followed by a casual gathering. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended due to limited seating.
