Bengaluru police have identified Kannada actress Divya Suresh as the alleged driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that injured three people in Byatarayanapura on October 4, 2025. Authorities stated Friday that the vehicle involved belonged to Ms. Suresh and CCTV footage suggests she was operating it at the time of the collision.
The incident occurred in the early hours of October 4 when a motorcycle ridden by Kiran G. and his cousins, Anusha and Anitha, was allegedly struck by a speeding black car. The car instantly left the scene. While Kiran (25) and Anusha (24) sustained minor injuries, Anitha (33) suffered a broken leg requiring surgery and was admitted to BGS Hospital.This case highlights the ongoing concerns surrounding road safety and accountability for drivers involved in accidents within the city.
A case was initially registered on October 7 under Sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 125(a) (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, based on a complaint filed by Kiran G.
Police confirmed that the examination is ongoing. Ms. Suresh has not yet publicly commented on the allegations.
