Ziggo Sport Presenter Bas van Veenendaal Steps ⁤Down, Shifts Focus‍ to Talent Coaching

Amsterdam, Netherlands – September 10, 2025 ⁤ – After ⁤nearly a ⁤decade with the network, prominent sports presenter Bas van veenendaal has ​announced his departure from Ziggo Sport,​ effectively stepping away from regular television appearances. Van Veenendaal revealed ‌his decision via LinkedIn,‌ citing a desire to pursue a new career path centered around helping individuals unlock their potential.”It’s time to travel further,” Van Veenendaal wrote in his post. “after ‍almost 10 years I leave ziggo Sport. ⁢I enjoyed ⁢working for the channel for decades, but I have ⁣the ambition to help people.”

The veteran presenter, known for his coverage of foreign football – both from the studio alongside analysts and pitch-side – is transitioning into a role as ‍an entrepreneur and core talent analyst. He recently completed training in talent analysis, a methodology he believes ⁤can be particularly impactful for those ⁣facing career crossroads or feeling unfulfilled in their current roles.

“I want to do that,​ among other things, by discovering and developing their core talents,”⁤ Van Veenendaal explained. “I mainly focus on (ex) ‌top athletes. That is one of ⁣the⁣ things ‌I will work with.”

While leaving the world of live ⁤sports​ broadcasting,Van Veenendaal will remain connected to the media landscape. ⁣He plans ‍to ⁤launch a podcast dedicated‌ to Formula 1, allowing him to continue engaging with fans and leveraging his broadcasting experience.
