Bangka Teacher Faces Prostitution Allegations; Official Dismissal Looms

A Civil Servant (ASN) teacher in Bangka Regency, identified only by the initials DP, is facing serious allegations of involvement in prostitution, also known as TPPO (Criminal Acts of Trafficking in Persons). The case came to light following an examination by the Babylon police in Central Bangka. The teacher has reportedly undergone trial at the Koba District court.

ASN Regulations explained
- Sentences Under Two Years: An ASN employee will not be dismissed if the sentence is less than two years.
- Sentences Over Two Years: Immediate dismissal occurs if the sentence exceeds two years.
- Temporary Dismissal: The employee is temporarily dismissed pending legal certainty,receiving 50% of their salary,excluding allowances.
Corruption Cases: A Stricter Standard
Mr.Marza clarified that corruption cases are treated with greater severity.

Even a one-year sentence for corruption results in immediate dismissal upon conviction.
