CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Bally’s Marquette will host four hiring fairs next month to fill more than 75 positions for its new landside casino, replacing the Casino Queen Marquette riverboat which has operated on the Mississippi River for over three decades.
the expansion, which broke ground last year, will double the number of live table games and add a live sports betting venue with accompanying kiosks, alongside a similar number of slot machines. Positions are available across all departments, including food and beverage and table games.
“We’re looking for several dealers. We’re looking to hire them quickly, get them trained and ready to open that new landside facility,” said General Manager robin Corbeil.
Hiring events will be held at the Cobblestone Inn and Suites community center on the following dates:
* November 1st, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
* November 6th, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
* November 15th,9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
* November 18th, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and be prepared to meet with managers to discuss available positions. Both full-time and part-time roles are being offered.
“Our hiring events are going to be very kind, easy to apply. All they have to do is come in that day, bring in a resume. We are going to have them meet with all of our managers, talk about the positions that we have available and walk them through that process,” said HR Director Rachel Morrissey.
the new facility is expected to be completed in February. Bally’s Marquette currently employs 118 people and aims to foster a welcoming work surroundings.
“We just want that feel of when you’re coming to work you’re coming to your family,” Corbeil added.
