Badminton Championships: Winners Crowned in Chandigarh Mini & Junior Tournaments

Local Players Dominate ​at Chandigarh ⁣State BadmintonChampionships

Chandigarh,​ India – The Chandigarh Mini, Junior and Senior State Badminton Championships concluded yesterday with a resounding‌ victory for ⁣local talent, especially players‍ from the Sector 38 Sports Complex. Over 300 athletes competed across 14 events, showcasing a high level of‍ skill and ​sportsmanship.

Hiyan‌ Yadav‌ of the Sector 38 Sports Complex ⁣took home the boys’ U-11 title, decisively defeating Yakshith Rana 21-11,⁢ 21-14. In ⁣the ‍girls’ U-11 category, Arnaaz Kaur of Shivalik Academy proved too strong for Pragun, winning 21-12, ​21-7.

The junior and senior divisions saw ⁢equally remarkable​ performances.​ Ridhima⁤ Saini,also training ⁢at Sector 38,delivered a stunning upset in the girls’ U-19 final,overcoming top seed Jasmeet ​Kaur 23-21,21-14. Rana Ruder Partap Singh secured the boys’ U-19 title‍ with a 21-17, 21-16 victory over Suryansh Raghav.

Rijul Saini demonstrated resilience in the women’s final,battling back from a first-game loss to ⁣defeat Mahnoor Kaur ⁢17-21,21-13,21-17. The men’s singles crown went to Samarveer Sharma, who bested Mohit Singh ⁢in a three-game match: 21-17,‌ 8-21, 21-14.

Doubles play was equally competitive. Aayush anand and Riaan Panchal triumphed in the ​boys
