Backstreet Boys Add Second Austria Concert
Demand prompts encore performance at Schladming ski opening.
Due to overwhelming demand, the **Backstreet Boys** will perform a second concert at the Schladming-Dachstein ski opening in Austria. What had been a one-off show has now become a two-night engagement.
Additional Show Announced
Originally slated to appear on December 6th at the Planai Stadium, international concert organizer **Klaus Leutgeb** announced via the ski opening Schladming Instagram page that a second concert has been added for Sunday, December 7th. This offers fans another chance to see the iconic group live.
European Exclusive
This year, **Howie Dorough** (51), **AJ McLean** (47), **Nick Carter** (45), **Brian Littrell** (50), and **Kevin Richardson** (53) are scheduled to perform their only announced European concerts in Austria. **Leutgeb** stated in a press release, “We bring a world production to Schladming here. This will be a mega show with everything that goes with it.”
New Album Release
Coinciding with their Austrian appearances, the **Backstreet Boys** are set to release their new album, “Millennium 2.0,” on July 11th. The album pays tribute to their Grammy-nominated album “Millennium,” released over 25 years ago, featuring re-recorded versions of hits like “I Want It That Way” and “Larger Than Life.”
Greetings from Las Vegas
As ticket sales continue in Austria, the **Backstreet Boys** are currently in Las Vegas, rehearsing for their concert series. The group shared a message on social media stating, “Hey Austria! We are the backstreet boys – and although we are in the rehearsals for our big shows in Las Vegas Sphere, we have something special to tell you. We are so excited because we are in your beautiful city Sladming will come,”
Each concert has 15,000 tickets available; sales began on July 8th. According to a recent industry report, concert ticket prices have increased by an average of 15% in the past year (Pollstar 2024).
