Carlyle-Backed ManTech International Corp. Abandons $2.3 Billion Loan Sale
Defense and cybersecurity contractor ManTech International Corp. has withdrawn its planned $2.3 billion leveraged loan sale due to insufficient investor demand, sources familiar with the matter report. The company is now pursuing funding options through private credit lenders.
The financing effort was initiated earlier this month by JPMorgan Chase & Co., but failed to finalize before the November 20th deadline. Concerns among investors center around potential reductions in U.S. government spending and increased volatility within the broader credit markets, according to the sources, who requested anonymity as thay are not authorized to publicly discuss the situation.
ManTech is a portfolio company of Carlyle Group. The leveraged loan market has faced headwinds in recent months as rising interest rates and economic uncertainty have made investors more cautious.
