Idol Groups Dominate 2025 Chuseok Special ‘Ayuk University’ Games
Seoul, South Korea – fierce competition and stunning upsets marked the 15th Anniversary ‘Ayuk University’ Chuseok Special, as idol groups battled across a range of sports. The event,broadcast Tuesday at 5:50 pm on JTBC (subject to change due to KBO postseason coverage),showcased athletic prowess alongside the performers’ signature visuals.
In the 60m sprint, Nexz Gun, Arrc Choi han, Newbeat Hong Min-sung, and Close Your Eyes Song Seung-ho advanced to the finals. Kael ultimately claimed gold with a time of 7.79 seconds, narrowly defeating competitors by 0.07 seconds and fulfilling a ”Rebellion of the Silver Medalist” narrative after securing silver last year. hong Min-sung also demonstrated notable performance.
The women’s wrestling team competitions saw Say My Name emerge victorious from a field including Hearts2Hearts, Fifty Fifty, Triples, and Sayme Name. Coached with a defensive strategy, Say My Name surprised with an aggressive approach. Prior to the competition, agency representative and singer Kim Jae-joong playfully challenged the team, promising a car for a gold medal win.
Riize secured gold in the pistol shooting men’s team event, competing against Zerobaseone, NCT WISH, and P1HARMONY. The group, making thier ‘Ayuk University’ debut this year, impressed with both skill and appearance.
The return of the penalty kick competition after five years featured idols embodying famous footballers, including “Song” Heungmin Eunseok, Ne Hee Mar Sohee, Killian ‘Yun’ Babera, and NOWZ Yun Yun yun. Results of the penalty shoot-out will be revealed in Part 2.
‘Ayuk University Part 2’ will also feature footage of the male wrestling group exhibition and the pistol shooting women’s team, highlighting dramatic reversals and idol athleticism.
