Aurum Pullover: Zoom In on This Stunning Yoke Design | Malabrigo Yarn

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

A new knitting pattern, the Aurum Pullover, released today by Nikolett Corley Designs, is generating excitement among knitters for its intricate design and collaboration with Malabrigo Yarn. The pattern, available for $10.99 USD, features a top-down, round-yoke construction and utilizes Malabrigo Arroyo yarn, a sport weight yarn known for its softness and color variations.

The collaboration with Malabrigo, a Uruguayan yarn company celebrated for its hand-dyed yarns, was a key element in the design process, according to promotional materials. “I am a huge fan of Malabrigo, and it was a true pleasure to design this pullover using Malabrigo Arroyo,” stated Nikolett Corley Designs. A Facebook post from the Knitting Community group echoed this sentiment, noting that designing with Malabrigo’s colors was “pure joy” and that the depth and tonal shifts of the yarn work well with the pullover’s stranded motifs.

The Aurum Pullover is available in a wide range of sizes, accommodating bust circumferences from 85 to 148.5 cm (approximately 33 ½ to 58 ½ inches). The pattern includes instructions in multiple languages, including English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Spanish. It employs techniques such as stranded colorwork and corrugated ribbing, and is designed to be knit seamlessly in the round.

Testers of the pattern have praised the color combinations achievable with the Malabrigo Arroyo yarn. The pattern requires between 1203 and 2570 yards of yarn. An introductory discount of 20% is currently being offered with the coupon code “aurum20” until February 25th at midnight EST.

Malabrigo Yarn offers a variety of other patterns alongside the Aurum Pullover, including the Numa Cowl, River, and Indigo designs, available through retailers like Wool and Company. Malabrigo’s yarns are made from soft wool fiber and are known for their unique color variations.
