Augusta University WomenS Golf Prepares for Lady Paladin Invitational
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Augusta University women’s golf team is set to compete in the Lady Paladin Invitational, beginning Friday, September 20, 2025, at the Furman University Golf Course.The three-day tournament will feature 18 holes of play each day, with shotgun starts at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and saturday, and a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
This tournament marks an early-season test for the Jaguars, providing an opportunity to gauge their performance against a competitive field and refine their strategies. Head Coach Caroline Holloway is especially encouraged by the immediate impact of freshman Lauren Valera, who recently finished 15th at a tournament in Statesboro, Georgia.
“She’s just vrey consistent and has a good sense for the game,” Holloway said of Valera. “She’s one of those that can take it low and is not scared to take it low which is very cool to see and she’s just been a huge impact right away.”
