Agüimes shines as Host of ‘atresplayer Day,’ Showcasing Spanish Audiovisual Industry
Agüimes, Gran Canaria – The Agüimes Auditorium Theater played host to the ‘atresplayer Day’ this weekend, transforming the municipality into a key hub for the spanish audiovisual industry. The event drew industry professionals, media, and prominent television personalities to Gran Canaria for a preview of the platform’s upcoming programming.
The ‘atresplayer Day’ extended beyond a single event, spanning several days of round tables, previews, talks, and exclusive presentations. Atresmedia unveiled over 20 projects, including highly anticipated premieres and returning series.
Gran Canaria President Antonio Morales highlighted the island’s appeal as a prime location for filming and tourism. “The island offers a great diversity of landscapes,many hours of daylight,first-class audiovisual infrastructure and tax advantages for this type of projects,” Morales stated. Last year alone, Gran Canaria served as a filming location for more then 150 productions, with Agüimes featuring as a backdrop in many.
The selection of Agüimes as the venue underscores the municipality’s dedication to culture and the audiovisual sector,and is expected to significantly elevate its profile nationally. The event solidified Gran Canaria’s position as a burgeoning centre for entertainment and media production in Spain.
