Atalarik Syach‘s Land Dispute Trial Halted After Plaintiff’s Death

Jakarta – The ongoing legal battle over a land dispute involving Indonesian actor Atalarik Syach has taken an unexpected turn. The scheduled hearing at the Cibinong District Court in Bogor, West Java, for Thursday, June 26, 2025, was postponed due to the reported death of one of the plaintiffs, Dede Tasno.

“Today is the inaugural session of the file verification agenda from all parties. Our clients today are not present because they have submitted everything to us as legal counsel. Today we have not brought new evidence because we are still verification of the files,” said Genuari Waruwu, Vitra’s legal counsel.

In fact, today, Lawyer DT and the developer came to my house measured the house that had been executed,” said atalarik Syach.

Syach also mentioned that he had questioned the plaintiff’s presence at the execution site, given the coinciding trial schedule. He stated he was merely clearing debris from the property.

A Long-Standing Dispute

The land dispute has been ongoing since 2015,ultimately leading to the execution of Syach’s family home,which was situated on the contested land. Syach maintains that he purchased the land from PT Sapta Usaha Gemilang Indah in 2000 and has been attempting to finalize the ownership documents ever since.
