Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool have entered the competition to sign Aston Villa’s 23-year-aged attacking midfielder, Morgan Rogers, according to reports emerging Wednesday.
TEAMtalk first reported PSG’s interest in Rogers, noting the French club has been monitoring his progress throughout the current season. Liverpool’s interest is more recent, with the Reds now joining Manchester United and Arsenal in pursuing the player, whose current contract at Villa Park extends until 2031. Any potential transfer is expected to command a “significant transfer fee” given the length of Rogers’ contract.
The growing interest in Rogers comes as AC Milan appears set to resist offers for USMNT winger Christian Pulisic. Football Insider reports that Milan intends to dismiss approaches from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur for the 27-year-old Pulisic, who is currently the Serie A club’s top scorer with eight league goals this season. Milan would reportedly require a fee of around €70 million to consider parting ways with the American international.
Elsewhere in the transfer market, Manchester City is reportedly targeting Newcastle United right-back Tino Livramento. TalkSPORT reports that Pep Guardiola’s side has been tracking the 23-year-old for several months, viewing him as a long-term solution at right-back. Newcastle is attempting to secure Livramento to a new contract, but the player has yet to commit to an extension.
Newcastle striker Nick Woltemade is reportedly seeking a return to the Bundesliga, according to Bild. The 24-year-old, who arrived at Newcastle from VfB Stuttgart in August for €75 million, is reportedly open to rejoining Stuttgart or potentially moving to Bayern Munich.
Liverpool is reportedly making progress in contract negotiations with midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai. TEAMtalk reports that the club has no intention of selling the 25-year-old, despite reported interest from Real Madrid, and is prepared to meet his demands to secure his future at Anfield. Szoboszlai has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 34 matches across all competitions this season.
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has agreed to a new contract that will preserve him at the Emirates Stadium until 2031, according to the BBC. Arsenal also has no plans to sell attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, despite a recent dip in form, according to Football Insider.
Bayern Munich is unlikely to pursue a permanent deal for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, who is currently on loan with the German club, according to the Daily Mail. Brighton is reportedly attempting to sign both Said El Mala from FC Cologne and his brother, Malek El Mala, from the club’s development squad, according to Florian Plettenberg.
Borussia Dortmund has agreed to a deal worth an initial €7 million, plus €5 million in add-ons, for Cruzeiro left-back Kaua Prates, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney is open to a return to the Premier League, according to Sky Sports. Everton is expected to reject a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to Football Insider.
Former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard is in talks with Brazilian second division club Remo for a potential move for the remainder of the season, according to Globo. Lingard, 33, has scored 19 goals in 47 games for FC Seoul over the past two seasons. Atalanta is planning to offer striker Gianluca Scamacca a new contract, according to Nicolo Schira.
