Tech Startup Aims to Democratize Child Mental Healthcare,Aligns with UN Sustainability Goals
BUENOS AIRES – A new initiative spearheaded by Venezuelan-born entrepreneur Stefan Meroslaw is leveraging technology to broaden access to crucial emotional and psychological tools for children, aiming to foster a generation of emotionally healthy adults. The World Yü project, developed by Meroslaw, a graduate of Yacambú University, seeks to deliver mental health resources traditionally confined to clinical settings to a wider audience.
The core mission is to proactively address childhood emotional growth, providing education and support to children, parents, and educators. Meroslaw explains his company’s work is directly aligned with five of the United Nations Lasting Development Goals (SDG), stating, “The objective of the company is to contribute, through these SDGs, to build a better world for the year 2030.”
Meroslaw’s method focuses on early childhood – a period of high brain plasticity – to establish a foundation for solid mental health. The approach differentiates how children experience and react to emotions based on individual emotional personalities, offering tailored educational tools for caregivers. This innovative strategy directly tackles challenges like anxiety, depression, and difficulties with emotional regulation.
“We seek to bring the psychological tools and explanations that were only available in offices to a mass audience,” Meroslaw explained, emphasizing the project’s goal to democratize access to child mental health resources.By intervening early, the initiative aims to prevent more complex disorders from developing in adolescence and adulthood.
The project is the work of Meroslaw, currently residing in Buenos Aires, and was reported by Edwin “Sports” Hevia of Noticias Barquisimeto.
