Arsenal Secures Victory Over AC Milan in Singapore Amidst Stadium Attendance Concerns

Premier League runners-up Arsenal emerged victorious against Italian powerhouse AC Milan in a pre-season amiable held at Singapore’s National Stadium. The match concluded with a 1-0 scoreline, courtesy of a second-half strike from England international Bukayo Saka.

Despite the positive result on the pitch, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed a desire for greater crowd support, noting the presence of “noticeable empty seats” in the venue. Speaking at a post-match press conference on Wednesday, July 23rd, Arteta stated, “I would love to have a full stadium, sadly, it wasn’t the case, but when they’ve been around the team, they’ve always been extremely supportive, and, yeah, hopefully the next game’s going to be more [full].”

Arteta also lauded Saka’s performance, highlighting the young star’s contribution. “We’re all very happy with the performance, especially with the attitude, the quality, the determination that we showed throughout the game,” he commented. “Obviously to win as well, and yeah, regarding individuals, [Saka] was at a really good level, Bukayo is one of them. We have pushed him through the summer as well, to catch up on other things that he had to, to give himself the best chance to explore his qualities, which are better and more highlighted, and with more impact than physically, at the highest level.”
