A winning lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold in Cabot, Arkansas, for the December 24th drawing. The lucky Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Murphy USA 7879, located at 208 S. Rockwood.
According to the Arkansas Lottery, the ticket matched five numbers but not the Powerball. While the winner’s identity hasn’t been publicly released, they have 180 days from the drawing date to claim thier prize. The Arkansas Lottery encourages the winner to sign the back of the ticket adn contact lottery officials.
“We’re thrilled that a $1 million winning ticket was sold in Cabot,” said Bishop Washburn, Director of the Arkansas Lottery, in a report by Arkansas Online. “We always enjoy celebrating with our players and look forward to welcoming the winner to Little Rock to claim their prize.”
The winning numbers for the December 24th Powerball drawing were: 12, 26, 33, 44, 66, and the Powerball was 11. The Powerball jackpot for that drawing was $700 million.
Murphy USA 7879 will receive a commission for selling the winning ticket. The Arkansas Lottery contributes to numerous state-funded programs, including education.More data about how lottery funds are used can be found on the Arkansas lottery website.
