Arizona Women’s Golf Begins Title Defense at The Folds of Honor Collegiate
ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Arizona Women’s Golf team opens its fall season Monday at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, seeking to repeat its championship performance from last year’s event. head coach Giovana Maymon and assistant coach Brady Campbell will lead the Wildcats against a competitive field at Eagle Creek Golf Club.
Arizona returns five players from the 2023 team that secured a historic victory in their first tournament under Maymon and Campbell: Charlotte Back, Nena Wongthanavimok, Julia Misemer, Maria Cabanillas, and angela Arora. The team has bolstered its roster with three promising freshmen – Sara vitasek, sydney Silva, and Kinsley Ni – aiming to build upon last year’s success. Currently ranked #26 by Golfweek and #28 by Golf Channel, the Wildcats are poised to contend for another title.the Folds of Honor Collegiate marks the start of a season where Arizona looks to elevate its national standing.
