Ariana Grande Shares On-Set glimpse as Filming Wraps on “Meet the Parents” Sequel
Ariana Grande offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at her role in the upcoming fourth installment of “Meet the Parents” franchise,signaling the completion of her filming commitments. The singer and actress shared a photo on social media, captioned simply with a heart, showcasing a set decorated to resemble the Focker family home.
The sequel, reuniting Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, centers on the engagement of Stiller and Teri Polo’s on-screen son to a character played by Grande. The Hollywood Reporter previously revealed the plot point involves a fiancée described as “ball-busting,” prompting concern from the Focker family. The original 2000 film grossed over $1.13 billion worldwide across three films, and this new installment aims to recapture that success with a fresh generational storyline.
Grande’s involvement comes as she balances a burgeoning film career with her music commitments. She recently concluded the press tour for Wicked, earning an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress for her performance alongside Cynthia Erivo, and is preparing to promote the second Wicked film, Wicked: For Good, set for release November 21.
The film also stars Owen Wilson and blythe Danner, with Skyler Gisondo joining the cast. John Hamburg, who penned the screenplay, is also directing the new installment. Worldwide Pictures has not yet announced a release date.
