Ariana Grande: Music Career Confirmed Amid Movie Roles

Ariana Grande Reassures Fans: Singing Remains Her “lifeline” Amidst Acting Ventures

Ariana Grande has firmly addressed speculation that she might be shifting her focus from music to acting, assuring fans that her passion for singing remains as strong as ever.

The Grammy-winning artist, who recently earned an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Galinda “Glinda” Upland in the musical film Wicked, saw the accompanying soundtrack album dominate the Official Compilations Chart for 16 consecutive weeks. The film itself also achieved notable success, topping the Official Films Chart upon its release on home media.

Grande is set to reprise her role as Glinda in the upcoming sequel, Wicked: For Good, and has also secured a voice role in the forthcoming animated movie Oh, the Places You’ll Go!. Moreover, her casting in the next installment of the Meet the Parents franchise has fueled discussions among fans about a potential career pivot.

However, in a candid Instagram post, Grande directly refuted these rumors.Accompanied by a clip of her performing the fan-favorite track “Into You,” she stated, “Very silly of you all to assume that just because i have my hands full with many things that i plan to abandon singing & music … !!! it is and has always been my lifeline. there will need to be room made for all of it.”

She further elaborated on her current creative phase, expressing her contentment and excitement. “It may not look exactly like it did before but i much prefer how it looks in my head. i am having fun,” she shared. “i feel grateful and excited and inspired. 🙂 finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors i love, and doing it my own way… so i’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year. even if it’s just for a little. i love you.”

Grande’s most recent studio album, Eternal Sunshine, released in 2024, marked her fifth consecutive UK Number 1 album. This year also saw her achieve her 25th Top 10 hit with “Twilight Zone,” a new track featured on the expanded reissue, Eternal sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead.
