‘ARC Raiders‘ Deploys ‘North Line’ Update, Introduces New Content & Community Event
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – November 14th, 2023 – Nexon and its subsidiary Embark Studio have released the frist major content update, ‘North Line,’ for the PvPvE extraction adventure ARC Raiders. the update introduces new Arcs, gadgets, and weapons, alongside a community-driven event to unlock the ‘Stellar Montis’ map.
Two new Arc types are available: the ‘Matriarch,’ a large Arc previously glimpsed in trailer footage featuring a horn-shaped head, and the ‘Shredder,’ exclusive to the ’Stellar Montis’ map. Five new gadgets have been added, including the guided explosive ‘Seeker Grenade,’ the repelling ‘Pulse Mine’ and ‘Gas Mine,’ and the timer-activated damage dealer ‘Deadline.’ Players will also gain access to the new legendary weapon, ‘Apelion,’ released in stages.
A global community event, ‘Exploration of a New land,’ accompanies the ‘Stellar Montis’ map unlock.Players, acting as members of ‘Speranza,’ contribute to rebuilding a tunnel leading to the new map by donating resources like metal parts, fabrics, and rubber parts, earning ‘Merits’ in the process. Once ‘Stellar Montis’ is available, players can utilize a personal progress track to complete challenges and earn rewards, including cosmetic items, using accumulated ‘Merits.’
‘Stellar Montis’ is described as a remote, isolated research facility located in a mountainous region, containing hidden clues, secrets, and valuable resources including rare materials, technologies, and weapon blueprints.
Responding to player requests, a duo matching system has been implemented on a pilot basis, with plans for continued refinement to support solo, three-person, and now two-person squads. Additional updates include reduced prices for cosmetic items and improvements to the ‘radar deck’ components. Embark Studio also announced upcoming December content, including the ‘Cold snap’ update, the ‘Sparkling flame’ event, and the introduction of blizzard weather conditions.
