Arabian Cement Company Posts 118.4 Million SAR Profit for First Nine Months of 2026
Arabian Cement Company reported a net profit of 118.4 million riyals for the first nine months of 2026, rising from 109.6 million riyals during the same period in 2025, according to financial data published by argaam.com. The Kingdom’s oldest cement producer recorded third-quarter net income of 28.00 million riyals, marking a 57.2 percent decrease compared to the 65.49 million riyals posted in the third quarter of 2025.
Financial Drivers Behind the Nine-Month Results
Argaam.com reported that Arabian Cement lowered its depreciation expense by adjusting the estimated economic useful life of plant machinery and fittings at the parent company. The firm also secured 18.9 million riyals in capital gains from selling its stake in Readymade Concrete and Construction Supplies. An exceptional tax difference recorded by a subsidiary during the previous year’s comparable period further shaped the nine-month comparison. These gains offset lower revenues driven by reduced sales volumes at the parent company.
For the third quarter alone, revenue dropped 21.6 percent year-on-year to 229.80 million riyals. Operating income fell 77.6 percent to 15.40 million riyals. The company attributed the quarterly profit contraction to lower average selling prices at the parent company alongside reduced sales volumes at its subsidiary, coupled with lower other revenues. Compared to the second quarter of 2026, when net income sat at 30.39 million riyals, third-quarter profit slipped 7.9 percent.

Corporate Restructuring Generates 18.9 Million Riyals in Capital Gains
Shareholders’ equity excluding minority interest reached over two and a half billion riyals at the close of the period, compared with a slightly lower figure a year earlier. The cement maker completed a share-swap exit transaction on September 28, 2026. This deal involved divesting its stake in Arabian Cement Bahrain Holding Company from Readymade Concrete and Construction Supplies while acquiring shares in Jordan’s Qatrana Cement Company.
That corporate restructuring generated 18.9 million riyals in capital gains. It also directly lifted equity attributable to parent company shareholders by 21.3 million riyals, pushing total direct and indirect equity gains to 40.2 million riyals. Non-controlling interest dropped by 70.3 million riyals as the subsidiary increased its stake in Qatrana Cement from 86.74 percent to 96.14 percent.
In a separate report by cnbcarabia.com, Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing Company, known as QAMCO, saw its third-quarter net profit drop 70 percent year-on-year to 57 million riyals. QAMCO pointed to shipping constraints and regional disruptions that restricted operational activity in its joint venture, driving down sales volumes by 57 percent to 219,000 tonnes despite a 27 percent rise in average realized aluminium prices to $3,566 per tonne.
