Apple’s Biggest Event of teh Year: A Look Ahead
Apple’s upcoming event promises a range of updates across its product lines, from iPhones and Apple Watches to AirPods and even Home products. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect, based on recent reports.
iPhone 17 & 17 Pro:
While the standard iPhone 17 won’t feature a new design, it will boast a slightly larger screen, around 6.3 inches, mirroring the size of the iPhone 16 Pro and 17 Pro. this model will also receive a new chip and a Promotion screen – a feature previously exclusive to the “Pro” iPhones. Both the standard iPhone 17 and the Pro models will continue to utilize Qualcomm modems.
Interestingly, Apple is shifting its color strategy. The light blue previously seen on the Macbook Air M4 will be available on the iPhone 17 Air, while the iPhone 17 Pro line will introduce a new orange color option. Those opting for the iPhone 15 Pro (2023) will continue to have the titanium option, despite aluminum being lighter and more efficient at heat dissipation.
Apple Watch Updates:
The Apple Watch lineup will see updates with the Ultra 3, Series 11, and new, faster chips across all models. The Ultra 3 will gain compatibility with 5G Redcap and satellite connectivity. Screen improvements are also planned: a larger screen for the Ultra 3, increased brightness for the Series 11, and new technology replacing the previous model. Apple is targeting the Ultra 3 towards the sports/professional segment (competing with Garmin) and the Series 11 towards the low/child segment (competing with Fitbit).

AirPods Pro 3:
Apple is preparing to release the AirPods Pro 3, the first update in three years.Prototypes include a heart rate sensor and software for live conversation translation, expanding on the translation capabilities already available with Apple Intelligence in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.The new AirPods Pro will also feature a substantially smaller charging case and a revised pairing mechanism, similar to improvements made to the AirPods 4 last year.

iPad Pro: Will be equipped with the M5 chip and a second front-facing camera positioned on the vertical edge.
