Apple Watch Series 11: Battery Life Disappointment and Limited Upgrades

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

AppleWatch series 9 Significantly Cheaper Than New ⁣Series 11

The Apple Watch‍ Series 9 is currently available on Amazon for $609,‍ a discount of over $140 compared too the newly released Series 11,⁣ wich retails for $749. This price difference presents a compelling argument for consumers to consider the ‍older model, despite the upgrades offered in ‌the latest iteration.

While the Series 11 introduces improvements like a Ceramic Shield display for enhanced scratch resistance and ‍5G cellular connectivity, the⁤ Series‌ 9 remains a highly capable smartwatch and offers substantial savings. ⁣For many users, the benefits of the Series‍ 11 may not justify the additional cost, especially those ⁤who don’t rely heavily on cellular functionality or are concerned about minor scratch resistance improvements.⁣ The Series 9 also brings back‌ the popular space Gray finish, absent as the Series 6.

Apple claims‍ the Ceramic Shield display offers⁢ double the scratch resistance of previous models. The series 11 also features a slightly larger battery capacity, though the real-world impact on battery ⁤life is not substantial. 5G connectivity is a key upgrade for cellular users, perhaps offering improved coverage as carriers phase out older LTE networks.
