apple today released new firmware for the Magic Keyboard designed for the iPad Pro. The firmware for the M4/M5 model is version 1872.544.772,an update from the previous 0680.0220.0301 firmware,while the firmware for the M3 model is now version 1024.320.771.
The new firmware is available for both the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro Magic Keyboard options for the M4 and M5 iPad Pro models, and also the version sold with the M3 iPad Pro.
Apple redesigned the Magic Keyboard in may 2024 with the launch of the M4 iPad Pro. The updated keyboard retains the floating cantilevered design but includes a dedicated row of function keys and a larger glass trackpad.
Magic Keyboard firmware updates are infrequent, and there is no way to manually update the software. New firmware installs automatically when the keyboard is connected to an iPad Pro with internet access.
To check your Magic Keyboard’s firmware version, open the Settings app and navigate to General > About > Magic keyboard.
