APMP Supports Cancer Fight: Gratitude Dinner & Mamamiga Campaign

The Associação Paranaense do Ministério Público (APMP) demonstrated its support for cancer patients and research through its attendance at the Jantar da Gratidão, hosted by the Rede Feminina de Combate ao Câncer on Thursday, February 26th. Mariana Andreola, the APMP’s Director of Women, represented the association at the event, held at Casa Rosa in Curitiba, alongside former APMP Women’s Director, Mariana Dias Mariano.

The dinner, organized in partnership with the Hospital Erasto Gaertner, served as a recognition event for donors and supporters of the Rede Feminina’s work. The gathering highlighted the critical role of civil society engagement in sustaining the organization’s projects and showcased the tangible impact of financial contributions, according to a statement released by the APMP.

During the event, the APMP’s “Campanha Mamamiga” was specifically recognized. Now in its third year, Campanha Mamamiga mobilizes APMP members to raise funds for external breast prostheses for women undergoing cancer treatment. The initiative aims to provide dignity and well-being to patients navigating the challenges of oncological care.

The Rede Feminina de Combate ao Câncer, comprised of over 400 volunteers, focuses on cancer prevention and assistance to patients and their families receiving treatment through the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) at the Erasto Gaertner Hospital. The organization’s work extends to all units within the hospital complex.

The APMP’s participation in the Jantar da Gratidão underscores a continuing institutional partnership with the Rede Feminina and reaffirms the association’s commitment to promoting women’s health, providing support to vulnerable populations, and advocating for gender equality within the Ministério Público do Paraná.
