Anthropic Introduces Claude Motion for Code-Based Animations in Beta
Anthropic Unveils Claude Motion for Code-Based Animation
Anthropic has expanded its artificial intelligence capabilities by introducing Claude Motion, a new tool designed to generate short animations from text prompts, data, diagrams, and images. Rather than rendering direct video frames, the system builds these sequences as underlying code.
Granular Editing via the Artifacts Feature
This code-based approach grants users precise control over generated sequences before export. A demonstration published on October 14, 2026, by the channel The AI Advantage showcased access to the tool through the Artifacts feature. The software successfully created an animated timeline of United States history from a text instruction combined with a Wikipedia link.
The showcase demonstrated the model's editorial flexibility. Users can correct individual years, adjust the duration of specific sections, and introduce a secondary image to the sequence. An integrated comment feature also allows specific elements to be marked and highlighted in red without requiring a full regeneration of the animation. Finished work can ultimately be exported as an MP4 file.
Exclusive Beta Access for Enterprise Accounts
At present, access to Claude Motion remains restricted to a limited user group during a beta phase tailored for team and enterprise accounts.
Reporting on the exact launch of this test phase has varied slightly. The demonstration video pointed to October 14, 2026, while a Medium report dated the rollout start to October 8, 2026.
Official Silence on Performance and Pricing
To date, Anthropic has not released an official announcement or comprehensive product statement regarding Claude Motion.
Verifiable details concerning reliability, product performance, data protection, potential additional costs, scalability, and future availability for general user groups remain unannounced.
