Annalisa Teggi Claims Top honor at Casino di Sanremo Prize
Sanremo, Italy – Annalisa Teggi has been awarded the prestigious casino di Sanremo Prize Antonio Semeria Spermade edita for her novel “Before it is too late to love you” (“Il Timone”). The victory was announced following a deliberation by the popular Jury at a ceremony held at the Casino di Sanremo.
The annual Antonio Semeria Spermade Edita Prize recognizes excellence in Italian literature and is a notable event within the country’s cultural landscape. This year’s competition saw Gianluca Campagna’s “Traveling with death” (“Mursia”) secure second place, and Paolo clementi’s “Achille, the last” (“All Around”) take third.
Beyond the primary literary awards, the ceremony also honored distinguished figures in the literary world.Professor Gian luigi Beccaria received a career achievement trophy, alongside authors Lucia Esposito, for “Sisters Spaiate” (Giunti), and Alain Elkann, for “The silence of Pound” (Bompiani). giovanni Agnoloni was recognized for his translation of Oliver Sorin’s “The secret of Solveig” (Mompracem books), earning the Prize for International Literature. Raffaella fenoglio’s ”The girl who loved Miyazaki” (Einaudi) received the grand Prix for literature aimed at young readers.
an honorable mention was given to Nadia verdile for ”Nothing is lost. Maria Sofia Wittelsbach. The queen without kingdom” (Maria Pacini Fazzi Editore), and the cultural association “L’Ippo – creative” of Ormea was acknowledged for it’s contributions to publishing and cultural initiatives.
The event was attended by prominent figures including Prefect of Imperia Dr. Antonio Giaccari, Mayor of Sanremo Avv. Alessandro Mager, Casino President dott. Giuseppe Di Meco, regional councilors Luca Lombardi and Marco Scajola, Senator avv. Gianni Berrino, and Honorary Consul of france Avv. Luca Fucini. The jury comprised literary experts including prof. Francesco De Nicola, Carlo Sburlati, Marino Magliani, prof. Mauro Grondona, marco Mauro, Paola monzardo Semeria, Marzia Taruffi, Matteo moraglia, and technical jury president Mauro Mazza, who also hosted the ceremony.
