Al-Alamein Festival Celebrates Angham‘s Return, honors Ziad Rahbani in Landmark Event
AL-ALAMEIN, Egypt - Pop superstar Angham made a triumphant return to the stage at the closing of the third al-Alamein Festival Friday, receiving a hero’s welcome from a massive crowd following a recent health scare and hospitalization in Germany. The festival, recognized as the largest mass gathering of its kind, drew attendees from over 104 nationalities and featured performances by leading artists including Amir Eid.
Angham chose to perform Keraoki melodies, acknowledging the genre’s widespread popularity and dedicated fanbase in the Arab world. During the ceremony, Amir Eid publicly welcomed Angham, expressing, “I would like to thank the star Angham for attending the ceremony and a thousand safety on her.”
The festival also included a tribute to the late Lebanese musician Ziad Rahbani, with images of Rahbani displayed during Amir Eid’s performance of “I am a Star.” Eid also debuted his new song “Eyes of People” from the collaborative album “Tolitte.” The event concluded with a performance of “Every Need” accompanied by a fireworks display.
Organizers highlighted the festival’s continued success as a thorough arts and entertainment platform,building on the momentum of its first two editions and attracting a diverse audience including public figures,officials,and diplomats.
