Anderlecht Scrambles for Striker Reinforcements, Eyes Nine Potential Targets
Brussels, Belgium – RSC Anderlecht’s search for attacking firepower has intensified, with the club reportedly considering nine potential striker acquisitions as they navigate a challenging transfer window. The need for reinforcement comes amid uncertainty surrounding current forward options and a desire to bolster the team’s goal-scoring threat ahead of the upcoming season.
Despite initial expectations, several players haven’t secured consistent roles within the squad, prompting Anderlecht to broaden their search. This includes Dook vanzeir, recently brought back to KAA Gent from the United States, who has struggled for playing time under coach Ivan Leko. Addi Zeqiri, currently at KRC Genk, also faces an uncertain future, with a loan spell at Standard Liège failing to secure his long-term position.
The potential targets identified include They Fed, Were, Dieng, discouraged, Obi, Shiogai, Ecambi Shop, Vanzeir, and Zeqiri. While Zeqiri’s return to Genk has stalled, no other Belgian clubs have yet expressed concrete interest. As of today, 1097 votes have been cast in a fan poll regarding which of these strikers would be the most interesting choice for Anderlecht.
