Dancers ​Flock to Auditions for AminataS “Big ⁤Girl” ‍Concert

Riga‘s dance community ​turned out in force on ⁢September 14th for auditions to join ‍singer Aminata‘s upcoming‌ concert,⁢ “Big⁣ Girl,” ​at the Palladium​ concert Hall on November 1st. The “Space” dance studio hosted approximately 70 dancers aged 13-35, demonstrating both Aminata’s popularity and the vibrant dance scene in Latvia.

Choreographer Elisa Kazemak led the selection process, seeking dancers with⁤ strong learning abilities, ‌professionalism, and versatility in various dance styles.⁤ Eight ⁤dancers were ultimately chosen to contribute​ to the concert’s choreography,enhancing ‌the visual‍ spectacle​ and complementing Aminata’s artistic vision. The ⁤selection committee also included ⁣Aminata herself, her manager Elizabeth Shukste, and choreographer Arthur Devel.

Aminata expressed her ⁤desire to make dance a central⁣ element of the “Big Girl”⁤ concert, aiming for a holistic artistic experience that seamlessly blends music and movement. This⁢ concert is ‌being billed as her most aspiring yet, promising⁢ a ⁢full sensory ‍experience with impressive scenography, lighting, and guest performers.

The concert will showcase songs from Aminata’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, “Big⁢ Girl,” set to release in October, alongside beloved tracks ‌from her‌ previous albums.⁢ The album represents a personal and artistic turning point for Aminata, exploring ⁣themes of self-acceptance, resilience, and personal growth.⁤ Early singles like “Anyway,”​ “Opinion,” and her collaboration with zeļģi, “For non-return,” offer a glimpse into the album’s layered⁢ exploration of relationships, public perception, and inner strength.
