Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso Concept Previews Future with V6 Hybrid Power
Alfa Romeo has unveiled its Cuorerosso concept car at the Paris Motor Show on October 11, 2026, showcasing a 4.7-meter-long, 2+2 four-door coupe that introduces a multi-energy platform capable of housing a high-performance hybrid-V6 powertrain. The concept car measures 4,700 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,331 mm in height, with a 2,930 mm wheelbase and a weight of 1,750 kg, serving as an authentic manifesto of sportiness that is fully expressed through its proportions and surface tension. After spending just a week or two on initial sketches, the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile transitioned directly to three-dimensional modeling, approaching the Cuorerosso project as a single solid block to be sculpted initially without wheels, windows, visual elements, or details.
The concept car measures 4.70 meters in length, 1.98 meters in width, and 1.33 meters in height, with a 2.93-meter wheelbase and a total weight of 1,750 kilograms. Its aerodynamic design achieves a drag coefficient of 0.28 and features a truncated tail known as the Codatronca. Inside, the vehicle places the driver at the center with a steer-by-wire steering system and a modern instrument cluster interpretation called the Cannocchiale Vivente, which offers two distinct display modes.
Cuorerosso Demonstrates Alfa Romeo Multi-Energy Powertrain Approach
Rather than relying solely on fully electric configurations, the Cuorerosso advances Alfa Romeo’s multi-energy approach. The brand is exploring various powertrains ranging from fully electric setups to plug-in hybrids, mild hybrids, and full hybrids based on future market demand. Such a concept car is intended to demonstrate the brand’s intended direction for the coming years, resting on multi-energy platforms designed for models up to 4.7 meters in length with space for Quadrifoglio versions, thereby addressing past limitations where the Giulia lacked any form of hybrid powertrain.
The top-tier performance model is represented by a 2.9 V6 full-hybrid powertrain, paired with Q4 all-wheel drive, a torque converter, and a carbon-fiber driveshaft. This setup utilizes a transfer case and a front driveshaft to maintain a rear-wheel-drive character while delivering extra traction when required.
Cuorerosso Serves as Design Manifesto for Future Models
The Cuorerosso name combines heart as a symbol of emotion with red as a synonym for sportiness, serving as a design manifesto for future Alfa Romeo models. The vehicle’s proportions and styling elements preview what a potential new sedan or Giulia replacement could look like, addressing a lineage where the current Giulia has been on the market since 2015 without hybrid options.

Three Driving Experiences Adjust Driver Interaction
The vehicle supports three distinct driving experiences—Cruise, Sport, and Quadrifoglio—which adjust the interaction between the driver and the car according to the required level of involvement.
